LOVELOCK, NEV. – The victim in O.J. Simpson’s 2007 hotel heist of sports memorabilia pleaded for the disgraced football great’s release Thursday.

“This is a good man, he made a mistake,” Bruce Fromong told the four-member parole board in Nevada.

“I want to make this clear to you: O.J. never held a gun on me. Another man came in and hit me, not O.J. He never laid a hand on me,” Fromong said of what happened after Simpson and a group of armed men stormed a Las Vegas hotel room to rob him and another dealer.

Fromong, who has since made amends with Simpson, said his sentence of nine-to-33-years was “way too long.”

“We all make mistakes. O.J. made his,” he said. “He’s been here and from what I’m told, he’s been a model inmate. He’s been an example to others.”

If he’s granted parole, Simpson could be released as early as October.
