There won’t be any long goodbyes for President Obama after Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday — the first family will jet out of DC immediately after the ceremony.
Obama, his wife, Michelle, and daughters, Malia and Sasha, will head to sunny Palm Springs, California, for their first post-presidential holiday, TMZ reported.

The family will board a helicopter after leaving the Capitol on Friday for the short hop to Andrews Air Force Base, where they will board a government jet for the trip to the left coast.
While taxpayers will pick up the tab for the flight out, the Obamas will be on the hook for the trip back.
On Monday, moving vans were spotted outside the family’s new DC digs in the district’s upscale Kalorama neighborhood.
