President Obama gave a pep talk to America’s Olympic athletes in his White House address Saturday — while also inserting a plug for pro-immigration policies.

Obama thanked Team USA for showing the world the “best of America” and reminding other nations “America always sets the gold standard” because of the diversity and teamwork our athletes show.

“We’re a nation of immigrants that finds strength in our diversity and unity in our national pride,” he said.

“And let’s see in ourselves the example they set,” the president added.

On Friday, the president and the first lady also recorded a Snapchat video wishing the Olympians luck.
