Former President Obama joined the throng of well-wishers sending love to shot baseball legend David Ortiz on Monday.

“Get well soon, Papi,” Obama tweeted alongside a photo of him getting a personalized Red Sox shirt from the slugger when the Boston team visited the White House in 2014.

“Six years ago, David Ortiz’s spirit and resolve helped us all begin to heal from the Boston Marathon bombing,” Obama wrote of the player, who made a rousing speech calling Boston “our f—ing city!” after the 2013 attack.

“Today, I want to join many others in wishing him a speedy recovery of his own,” the former president said.

Ortiz was ambushed by a gunman at a bar in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. He is expected to survive — but lost parts of his internal organs in the attack that was caught on camera.
