Joe Biden’s reported plan to deal with climate change is a “dealbreaker” for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

The New York Democrat, who authored the leftist Green New Deal to fight global warming, said Biden’s plans shows a “lack of leadership.” A Biden adviser had described the proposal as striking “middle ground” on climate change.

“There is no ‘middle ground’ w/ climate denial & delay,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Friday. “Blaming ‘blue collar’ Americans as the main opponents to bold climate policy is gas lobbyist 101.”

Biden is expected to announce a plan that would favor alternatives to fossil fuels, but not completely ditch them. That’s opposed to Ocasio-Cortez’s proposal that calls for transitioning to 100-percent renewable energy by 2035.

Biden tweeted Friday he would release more details “in the coming weeks.”

Ocasio-Cortez has skewered fellow Democrats with less-progressive climate plans than hers, including presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, who proposed cutting emissions by 2050.

“Personally, I think we need to have more aggressive timelines than that to be honest,” she told The Hill last month, discussing O’Rourke’s proposal.
