A Ohio man died in a BASE jumping accident on a Portugal vacation when the wind blew him into a cliff, according to a report.

Zeke Wilson, 35, of Rossville died Saturday in Porto da Cruz while BASE jumping, which refers to leaping from a building or antenna, among other fixed objects, news station WRCB and local media outlets reported.

On his final jump, the wind reportedly blew Wilson and his parachute backward into the side of a cliff.

He died from injuries he suffered in the crash, according to a GoFundMe page created to raise money to get his remains home.

“It took rescuers several hours to recover his body,” the page said. “[His wife] was a witness to the entire event.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two young children, who are ages 3 and 7.

“We are all just heartbroken right now,” his mother-in-law, Heather Kelly, told WRCB.
