One person was killed and another 13 were wounded at a Houston family party that quickly morphed into a gun fight Sunday when an uninvited guest opened fire after getting kicked out, according to cops.
People at the party returned fire, sparking an exchange of gunshots that was still raging when police reached the bloody scene.

An uninvited guest opened fired after being kicked out, according to police. KHOUThe chaos broke out around 12:50 a.m. in southeast Houston when the unidentified party crasher was asked to leave a family gathering, according to the Houston Police Department.
The uninvited guest is believed to have started the shootout, with other partygoers opening fire on the assailant, Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu said during a news briefing.
When officers arrived at the property, they found multiple people wounded in various locations across the home, Cantu said.
The investigation continued Sunday morning. KHOU“It’s still very complicated,” Cantu told reporters. “It was chaotic from the get-go.”
A witness, Christian Sanchez, described to KPRC how one of his friends was shot and later died in the back of his truck.
“We were just there, fights broke out, and then they started shooting,” Sanchez said.
“Unfortunately, one of our friends got shot. We had to pick him up and put him in the back of my truck. He bled out in the back of my car and passed away.”
Sanchez said the victim told him “not to let him go.”
“We were holding his hand the whole time,” he told the station.
“That was basically the last thing he said. And after that, he just passed out.”
About 100 people were at the party, witnesses told KPRC.
Footage from news cameras showed at least two tables overturned while other chairs and tables were set up under a carport and party tent outside.
Several other victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, according to Cantu, who said some victims transported themselves to area hospitals.
Police detained multiple people but were not immediately certain if they had the shooting suspect in custody as the investigation continued Sunday morning, Cantu said.
A police spokesperson said about 12 hours later that there were no official arrests in the case yet.
