Three porch pirates have been busted in a $115,000 Colorado crime spree — tripped up by rainbow-colored unicorn figurines police believe they may have left at some of the homes.
Shane Michael Phillips, 21, Marie Alins Roman, 36, Adrian Cisco Quintana, 44, are facing 53 different criminal charges as part of what police dubbed “Operation Unicorn.”
The suspects’ “affection for unicorns” is what helped tie the crimes together, police say.
They allegedly targeted 46 different locations across Boulder, Lyons and Longmont between September last year and February.
The unicorn figurines and drawings were found at some of those locations.
Police said they aren’t sure whether the suspects intentionally left behind the unicorns as calling cards or merely forgot them.
Over the four-month spree, the suspects allegedly stole multiple cars and packages from people’s porches.

Phillips and Roman are currently in custody but Quintana was still at large as of Friday.
There is a warrant out for Quintana’s arrest.
