Ruff commute!
A pack of frisky dogs blocked morning rush hour traffic Monday on a major Arizona highway, according to the state’s Department of Transportation
“NOW: A pack of dogs are roaming I-17 SB at Grand. No, this is not a joke. #phxtraffic,” the agency tweeted, along with photos of five pooches.
The ragtag gang of furballs, which appeared to include at least four different breeds, are shown strolling across the three-lane highway and blocking a truck at 8:48 a.m. in the photo.
Observers took to Twitter crack pooch-centric jokes full of pop culture references.
“Homeward bound??” one woman quipped.
Another man added, “Who let the dogs out?”
