A 25-year-old man is taking legal action against Royal Caribbean because he hasn’t bounced back from an injury suffered aboard one of its cruise ships, according to reports.

The passenger, Casey Holladay, said he was trying out a new bungee trampoline ride on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas last month when he suddenly fell 20 feet from the ride, news station WTVJ reported.

Holladay, who is from Washington state, jumped 10 times on the featured ride before something caused him to crash to the ground.

“I just felt the momentum release from my body that I wasn’t being held by anything anymore,” Holladay said. “When I hit all I really remember is the hit and the noise and the fear.”

The incident, which was recorded by his girlfriend, showed Holladay plunge and break his pelvis.

The cruise was returned to a Miami port so Holladay could receive treatment for a dislocated shoulder and surgery to repair his broken pelvis, according to WTVJ.

Holladay spent nine days at Jackson Memorial Hospital but is still on the mend after the terrifying incident, according to the news station.

“My life got changed without me having a say,” he told WTVJ. “I am fearful that I am not going to be able to enjoy the day-to-day like I’m used to.”

He filed a federal lawsuit earlier this month against Royal Caribbean seeking $10 million.

“His life was turned upside down,” his attorney Brett Rivkind told the Sun Sentinel.

A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean said the cruise line doesn’t comment on pending litigation.

“We operate all our ships safely, professionally and responsibly,” the spokesperson said.
