It’s a girl — and a boy!

Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg and husband Chasten introduced their infant twins to the world Saturday with an adorable black-and-white photo, shared on Twitter and Instagram, that showed the couple cuddling the swaddled newborns side by side in a hospital bed.

“We are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family,” the proud new papa wrote.

Buttigieg, 39, revealed last month that he and Chasten had become parents — although, he tweeted at the time, “the process isn’t done yet.”

The former Democratic presidential candidate did not disclose details of their adoption process.

But Chasten, 32, his husband since 2018, has said that the two have been trying to adopt a child for more than a year.

“It’s a really weird cycle of anger and frustration and hope,” he told the Washington Post.
