Presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg had an interesting encounter with a woman in Iowa on Tuesday.

The woman stood in line to shake hands with the South Bend, Indiana, mayor at the state fair, telling him, “I shook Robert Kennedy’s hand in 1968,” according to a tweet by a CNN video producer.

The Democratic candidate quipped back, “So you’re good luck?”

The woman replied, “Not really — he was shot a month later.”

Kennedy was a Democratic presidential candidate when he was assassinated on June 6, 1968.
