Photos from Kenosha, Wisconsin show the aftermath of violent protests that broke out after a black man was shot by a white police officer on Sunday.

The images show burned-out cars and, in one photo, a fire burning overnight as protestors converged on the local police station and lit fires to protest the shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake.

One photo shows a vandalized business in the small city, and another shows a woman standing next to a burned-out car holding a sign that reads, “God + Law + Order,” with an American flag and a church visible in the background.

The protests were sparked after a viral video showed a white cop shooting Blake multiple times in the back as he sought to get into his vehicle on Sunday.

Blake was air-lifted to a local hospital and was fighting for his life after undergoing surgery, his family said Monday.

Videos from the unrest posted on social media showed demonstrators banging on a window at local police headquarters. One cop falls to the ground after he appears to be hit by a flying object, while protesters lit dump trucks and garbage trucks on fire.

Police used tear gas to try to disperse the crowd.
