A Washington state man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of flying while drunk after he crashed a private plane in Nevada.

Ryan Raymond Dashiell, 41, was not seriously injured when the twin-engine Cessna 550 he was flying crashed at Mesquite Municipal Airport on Wednesday.

Police Sgt. Wyatt Oliver said Dashiell was the only person on board.

He was treated at a hospital and placed in jail pending an initial court appearance.

The aircraft was traveling from Pasco, Washington to Henderson Executive Airport near Las Vegas when it crashed, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating.
