Pittsburgh’s hometown newspaper paid tribute to the 11 victims of the synagogue shooting Friday by running the opening lines of the Kaddish, the traditional Jewish mourners’ prayer, across its front page, in Hebrew.

The poignant headline of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was printed over a photo showing a crowd of mourners at a cemetery with umbrellas.

“These are the first words of the Jewish mourners’ prayer, ‘Magnified and sanctified be Your name,’ to be recited tonight on the first Sabbath since the tragedy at Tree of Life,” the front page reads.

Friday night will mark the first Shabbat service since the massacre at Tree of Life synagogue last Saturday morning when anti-Semitic gunman Robert Bowers opened fire on congregants while screaming, “All Jews must die,” authorities say.

On Monday, the newspaper published a front page listing all of the names of the victims, who ranged in age from 54 to 97.
