A plane bound for La Guardia from South Carolina had to make an emergency landing in Raleigh this morning after the plane lost cabin pressure.

The 6:28 am Endeavor Air flight from Charleston to La Guardia started having trouble almost immediately after it took off. About 30 minutes into the flight, the crew commanded passengers to strap on oxygen masks.

“We were informed that we had to wear masks, we weren’t allowed to take them off, and we were going to land immediately,” said passenger Lindsay Ann Branciforte

The terrified fliers had their masks on for about 20 grueling minutes before the plane finally got low enough where cabin pressure didn’t matter, said Branciforte.

All passengers on the flight then had to scramble to find new travel to New York City.

“They did not offer to do anything after scaring the life out of people,” said Branciforte.
