A Delta jet made an emergency — and nearly blind — landing at Denver after flying into massive hail, authorities said.
Flight 1889, from Boston to Salt Lake City, was pelted with so much hail Friday night, the Airbus A320’s nose cone was broken and nearly every inch of its windshield was cracked.
“There were times when we felt like the air dropped out from under us,” passenger Beau Sorensen of Provo, Utah, told the Denver Post.
He later tweeted: “Delta should give the pilot of my flight a sizable bonus for saving our butts. Glad to be alive.”
