A man in suburban Philadelphia allegedly shot at his ex-wife and then gunned down his parents at a retirement home Wednesday, officials said.

CBS News and WCAU-TV both reported early Thursday that 59-year-old suspect Bruce Rogal of Glenmoore, Pa., was dead after being on the lam for several hours.

Rogal had recently received papers that finalized his divorce and awarded his home to his ex-wife — and “that appears to be what set him off today,” according to Chester County DA Tom Hogan.

The suspect first went to the West Bradford Township home of his ex-wife and opened fire on her in the driveway, but missed, Hogan said.

Then the gunman traveled to the Bellingham Assisted Living Center in East Goshen Township, where he shot and killed his parents, William and Nancy, both in their late 80s, at about 6:15 p.m., the prosecutor said.

Rogal had last been seen driving a 2002 silver Honda Odyssey with Pennsylvania plate ENN-3549, officials said.
