ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Authorities say they are searching for a man who police say walked into an Albuquerque convenience store, grabbed a handful of gummy bears, and then nearly ran over a clerk.

KRQE-TV reports that the man casually strolled into the store, yanked the gummy bears, then tossed some of the candy at the entrance.

The video above, posted by Albuquerque police, captured the man stealing the candy before trying to run over a chasing clerk with his car.

Investigators say no one was injured during the bizarre heist.

Albuquerque police identified the man as Greg Romero and say he is facing a number of charges, including two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
