MILWAUKEE — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made an appearance Monday at the GOP convention, two days after he was left bloodied by a sniper’s bullet.
Most of the 78-year-old former president’s right ear was seen wrapped in a bandage when he emerged at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

The former president pumped his fist, gave several thumbs-ups and clapped as he joined his running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, and members of his family seated near the stage.

“Fight, fight, fight,” the crowd chanted as Trump took his seat, a reference to the words mouthed by the former president on Saturday, moments after he was shot during a rally in Butler, Pa.
Trump listened intently as “everyday Americans” Mark Laws and Benjamin Josephs delivered RNC speeches.
He also watched Amber Rose — a former stripper who has fiercely criticized Trump in the past — give her remarks.

Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump were all near their father, and Trump Jr., the former president’s eldest son, appeared to get teary-eyed as his dad walked into the arena.

Earlier in the day, he was officially named the Republican nominee for president after being nominated by more than 1,215 GOP delegates during a roll-call vote of state delegations.
Shortly before the vote, Trump announced on Truth Social that he had tapped Vance as his VP pick.
Trump has been in Milwaukee since Sunday, deciding against delaying his trip to the convention, which he considered following the shooting.
