New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie lost out on a gig in the White House because he didn’t support Donald Trump following the release of his scandalous “Access Hollywood” tape, according to Steve Bannon.

President Trump’s former chief strategist dished on how the resurfacing of Trump’s 2005 interview with Billy Bush last October served as a “litmus test” of who was and wasn’t loyal.

Christie, who was vying for a position in Trump’s cabinet, didn’t make the cut.

“Christie, because of Billy Bush weekend, was not looked at for a cabinet position,” Bannon said in his first extensive interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” since leaving the White House last month.

“I told him the plane leaves at 11 o’clock in the morning. If you make the plane, you make the team. He didn’t make the plane.”

Trump was caught on tape bantering with Bush about hitting on Bush’s co-host at the time, Nancy O’Dell.

“I did try and f—k her. She was married,” Trump said.

“Grab ‘em by the p—y. You can do anything,” he said later in the tape.

Christie at the time said he wouldn’t support Trump over his comments.
