Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said in a new interview that “there’s no question” he was getting under President Donald Trump’s skin after the commander-in-chief and Bloomberg’s campaign traded barbs over the weekend.

“I think there’s no question that he’s worried about me, because otherwise he wouldn’t respond,” Bloomberg told NBC News California.

“He’d focus his attention on other candidates. Donald doesn’t want to run against me because he knows what I’ve done,” the three-term New York mayor said, referring to his focus on jobs, gun safety and environmental issues.

The president took to Twitter Sunday to mock the 5-foot-8 billionaire’s height — asserting that he’s asked for a box to stand on at upcoming presidential debates.

“Mini Mike is now negotiating both to get on the Democrat Primary debate stage, and to have the right to stand on boxes, or a lift, during the debates. This is sometimes done, but really not fair!” he wrote.

Bloomberg’s campaign manager fired back at the president in equally personal terms.

“The president is lying,” Bloomberg campaign spokeswoman Julie Wood said in a statement.

“He is a pathological liar who lies about everything: his fake hair, his obesity, and his spray-on tan,” she added, referring to Trump’s reported weight of 243 pounds.

Bloomberg in NBC’s interview took it a step further on Monday.

“Donald doesn’t want to run against me because he knows I’ve taken him on, on guns and on coal, and every time, I’ve beaten him. I’m trying to tell the public what I did and what I will do and not get into a silly contest. He can’t run on his record,” he charged.

Asked about Trump’s almost certain acquittal during impeachment hearings on Wednesday, Bloomberg called it “a disgrace.”

“Well, it’s a disgrace, I don’t think there’s any question about that. I don’t like impeachment, but I thought there was so much evidence, we really had to do it. I’m not a senator, but I’d vote to convict,” he told the network.

“It seems obvious that they’re going to let him off the hook without doing anything and then the public will have its chance on Nov. 3.

He also said he was in the race for the long haul — and that he was running against Trump — not his Democratic rivals.

“I’m not running against Joe Biden, or Bernie Sanders, or Elizabeth Warren. I’m running against Donald Trump and whether they win in one of these states or both of these states or not, it just doesn’t influence what I’m going to do,” Bloomberg said, referring to early state contests, which he is not running in.

“I’m going to go out and give my message to the American people,” he told NBC.
