President Obama’s eleventh hour pardon of convicted leaker Chelsea Manning has “troubled” President-elect Donald Trump, a spokesman said Wednesday.
“I think the president-elect is troubled by this action,” incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters.
“It’s disappointing, and it sends a very troubling message when it comes to the handling of classified information.”
Obama’s executive action Tuesday will allow Manning to be freed in May, after serving only 7 years of her 35-year prison sentence.
