Cuba’s foreign minister told President Trump on Monday that there was no way the Castro regime was going to give up convicted cop killer Joanne Chesimard or any of the other fugitives granted asylum in his country.

Bruno Rodriguez, speaking from Austria said in a news conference that was broadcast live in Cuba, also slammed Trump’s tough anti-Cuba speech Friday in Miami, in which he reversed a part of President Obama’s more liberal policy toward the the Communist country.

“It was a grotesque spectacle straight from the Cold War. We will never negotiate under pressure or threat,” he said.

“Cuba will make no concessions on its sovereignty and its independence, will not negotiate over its principles and will never accept [imposed] conditions,” he added.

Chesimard was convicted of murdering a New Jersey State Trooper in 1973, but broke out of prison and fled to Cuba.

Trump on Friday had demanded her return in exchange for any new agreements with Cuba.
