Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whose approval rating is near 90 percent as he leads the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, shot down having any thoughts of running for president during an interview with his brother, CNN’s Chris Cuomo.

“With all of this adulation you’re getting for doing your job, are you thinking about running for president?” Chris Cuomo asked his brother Monday night, according to The Hill.

“No, no,” the governor responded.

“No, you won’t answer?” Chris asked before hurling a series of hypotheticals at his squirming sibling, such as whether he’d entertain a run in the future.

“No,” the governor replied again.

Earlier in the day, President Trump said he believes Cuomo would be a better presidential candidate than Joe Biden because the former veep is not “capable” of being commander-in-chief.

“We want to always make sure that we have a great president — we have somebody that’s capable. I personally don’t think Joe Biden is capable,” the president said in an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Fox News Channel.

“I wouldn’t mind running against Andrew. I have known Andrew for a long time. I wouldn’t mind that. But I’ll be honest, I think he’d be a better candidate than Sleepy Joe,” Trump said.
