Lawmakers in the 96-member Democratic Women’s Caucus, including House Speaker emerita Nancy Pelosi, donned white attire and various pins relating to the controversy surrounding deceased sex predator Jeffrey Epstein during the State of the Union on Tuesday.
Pins worn by the caucus include “Release the Files” and a butterfly symbolizing late Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre. The white pin has a black block placed before “Files” to mimic the redacted files released by the Justice Department.
Some also wore teal scarves to raise awareness for sex assault prevention.

Trump and Epstein were friends in New York but had a falling out in the early 2000s.
The president has never been accused of wrongdoing or anything related to Epstein’s sex trafficking
The Justice Department has released over 3 million pages worth of files.
Many of them are redacted to protect the victims.

Democratic women often coordinate their attire at the State of the Union speech.
They wore white attire to addresses to Congress during President Trump’s first administration.
In 2018, for example, Dems wore black in a nod to the #MeToo movement.
Last year, they wore pink to symbolize their push for abortion access.
