Donald Trump on Thursday slammed the federal judge presiding over two fraud suits against Trump University, claiming there was an “absolute conflict” because the jurist is “of Mexican heritage.”
He told The Wall Street Journal the background of Judge Gonzalo Curiel, a son of Mexican immigrants, is relevant in light of Trump’s stand against illegal immigration.
“I’m building a wall,” Trump said. “It’s an inherent conflict of interest.”
