Donald Trump has made the short list for this year’s Person of the Year bestowed by Time magazine, which cited his “populist rhetoric,” which has “stirred debate about the [Republican] party’s future.”

The magazine announced Monday that Trump joined the ranks of Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as the most impactful newsmakers of 2015.

The winner will be named Wednesday.
