Whether you like it or not, The Donald is on a roll.
Not only has the real estate titan made his way to the top of the polls for the GOP presidential nomination, but he’s also just sold his roomy, 6,200-square-foot penthouse at his Trump Park Avenue building for $21 million.
Though the identity of the deep-pocketed buyer was not immediately available, one thing’s for certain: The funds from the sale are not tied to Trump’s campaign fundraising, according to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the sale.
This penthouse hit the market for $35 million in 2013 and most recently asked $24.99 million, according to StreetEasy.
Located on the 24th floor of the 32-story 502 Park Ave., this floor-through unit — which Trump never lived in — has five bedrooms and 7½ bathrooms.
Sweet features include 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, three exposures in the great room, a windowed chef’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, and two walk-in closets in the master suite. Want more? The unit also boasts custom moldings, marbled bathrooms with Watermark fixtures, a library and a media room.
There was an offer on the table to rent the spread for more than $80,000 per month, but Trump took the sale instead.
“In his mind, it was a strong market and it was a good time to get a deal done,” Trump International Realty’s Michelle Griffith, who had the listing for this unit, told the Journal.
