Former President Donald Trump joked Wednesday that “golf is a very dangerous game” in a rare late-night talk show appearance just days after the Secret Service foiled a second assassination attempt against the 2024 Republican nominee. 

Trump, 78, yukked it up with the co-hosts of Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” in an appearance taped hours before his raucous campaign rally on Long Island.

“Well Mr. P, how’s your golf game?” comedian Greg Gutfeld asked the former president.

“Well, I haven’t been thinking about it too much lately,” Trump responded. “I always said golf is a very dangerous game.”

Former President Donald Trump joked during his Long Island rally Wednesday that he hoped his wife Melania wrote “good things" about him in her upcoming memoir.

The 78-year-old GOP presidential nominee drew cheers and laughter from the raucous Nassau Coliseum crowd when he promoted the former first lady’s book set to be released in October.

“Go out and get her book,” he exclaimed. “She just wrote a book. I hope she said good things about me.”

“Go out and buy it, it’s great. And if she says bad things about me I’ll call you all up and I’ll say don’t buy it, get rid of it,” Trump quipped as his supporters chuckled.

Melania Trump, 54, has ramped up publicity for the book, called “Melania,” in recent weeks.

The former first lady said in a previous video post online she hopes to give readers “the truth,” claiming she’s been a victim of “misrepresentation” during her spouse’s time in the spotlight.

Trump gives present to 8-year-old boy with rare form of brain disease

UNIONDALE -- Donald Trump surprised Liam, an 8-year-old boy suffering from a rare type of brain disease, with a present before his rally.

Trump walked in backstage before his remarks in Nassau and presented Liam with a white box and a bow.

The former president had sent Liam a letter recently for his eighth birthday and his family was then invited to the rally as VIPs.

Trump tells boisterous Long Island rally he will win New York after assassination plots ‘hardened my resolve’

UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Former President Donald Trump basked in the adulation of thousands of supporters on Long Island Wednesday night — insisting that recent attempts to kill him had “hardened my resolve” and predicting he would be the first Republican candidate to win New York state in 40 years.

“These encounters with death have not broken my will,” the Republican presidential nominee, 78, told roughly 16,000 fans at the Nassau Coliseum three days after a gunman was found hiding in the bushes of Trump’s namesake Florida golf course as he played a round.

“They have really given me a much bigger and stronger mission. They’ve only hardened my resolve to use my time on Earth to make America great again for all Americans, to put America first,” added Trump, whose ear was also grazed by a would-be assassin’s bullet at a July 13 rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump claims Biden campaign received hacked campaign material because the president  ‘is working with Iran’

Former President Donald Trump charged Wednesday that the Biden campaign received material stolen from his campaign by Iranian hackers because the president “is working with Iran.” 

“They just released a report confirming that Iran actors hacked into the Trump campaign's email accounts and in turn, sought to give the hacked materials to the Biden-Harris campaign,” Trump said at a Long Island campaign rally.

“They gave them all of their materials because Biden is working with Iran, and Iran doesn't exactly like me,” he added. 

“Iran hacked into my campaign,” Trump continued. “I don't know what the hell they found. I'd like to find out.” 

“It couldn't have been too exciting, but they gave it to the Biden campaign,” the former president argued. 

The FBI revealed Wednesday that Iranian hackers sent unsolicited stolen and sensitive information from the Trump campaign to people affiliated with Biden’s now-defunct campaign earlier this summer in an attempt to meddle in the upcoming election. 

Trump pledges to make Ground Zero a federally-protected national monument

Former President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that if elected to the White House, he will make Ground Zero a national monument. 

“I am announcing tonight that as president, I will officially make the Ground Zero site at the World Trade Center a national monument protected and maintained by the United States government,” Trump said during a Long Island campaign rally.

The former president said the declaration will ensure that the “hallowed ground and the memory of those who perished there will be preserved for all time – preserved forever.”  

“The New Yorkers who created the 9/11 National Memorial Museum really did an amazing job down there,” Trump added. “And I want to ensure that their outstanding work is sustained forever.”

The woman lifted her shirt and jumped around in the crowd before police removed her from the venue.
