Allen Weisselberg, the former Trump Organization chief financial officer convicted of tax fraud, was released from Rikers Island on Wednesday after spending around 100 days at the notorious jail, city records show.
Weisselberg — who was hauled away in cuffs at his Jan. 10 sentencing — served 99 days behind bars, or two-thirds of his sentence, as he was expected to when he was put away, NYC Department of Correction records show.
It is not unusual for inmates to be released early for good behavior.
The 75-year-old had been housed in a section of the troubled jail complex reserved for the elderly and the infirm called the West Facility, the Daily Beast reported.
“Anyone who truly knows Allen feels sorry that he had to go through this,” his lawyer Nick Gravante said in a statement. “I hope he can now retire in peace, spend time with his wonderful family, and leave the circus in the rearview mirror.”
“It was my honor and privilege to have represented him. He’s a true gentleman,” Gravante added.
Weisselberg’s sentence was part of a plea deal he struck in August 2022 when he agreed to turn against his longtime former employer.

Weisselberg pleaded guilty to tax fraud and was sentenced to five months in jail. REUTERSHe testified against the Trump Org at its Manhattan trial, helping to cinch a conviction in December and $1.6 million fines against the company.
The Trump family real estate company was convicted on all 17 tax fraud charges it faced — thanks in part to Weisselberg’s testimony as the star prosecution witness at trial.
The money man told jurors about how he accepted “off the books” — untaxed — compensation to the tune of $1.7 million from the company, including free rent on a Manhattan pad and tuition payments for his grandkids.
Weisselberg served 99 days in the notorious jail. APTrump Org attorneys argued at trial that Weisselberg acted of his own accord and that the blame for the tax fraud scheme lay solely with him.
An embattled Donald Trump separately faces a $250 million civil fraud case brought by the New York Attorney General’s Office, criminal charges related to hush-money payments, and a civil rape trial begins against the former president next week.
The DOC didn’t immediately return a request for comment Wednesday.
