FBI Director James Comey was spotted walking into the White House Friday afternoon — but the purpose of his visit was unclear.

The FOX Business Network tweeted out a photo of Comey entering the building, and multiple news outlets reported that he was there.

The FBI chief recently confirmed that the feds had an ongoing investigation of possible ties between Trump current and former staffers and Russia, but it was not immediately known if his visit was related to the probe.

Comey stayed for about an hour before leaving.

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment.
