WASHINGTON – Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) got the “lock her up!” treatment – her first – from President Trump’s Iowa crowd Tuesday night.

Trump reminded his audience how Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, had been blamed for leaking professor Christine Blasey Ford’s letter alleging she had been sexually assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“How about Sen. Feinstein? That’s another beauty. That’s a beauty,” Trump said. He then did an impression of her denying that she leaked the warning to reporters. “Did you leak the documents? Did we leak? Did we leak? Noooo,” Trump said, waving his hands around.

The crowd – filled with Iowans and Nebraskans, as Council Bluffs, Iowa, sits across the Mississippi River from Omaha, Nebraska – started a vigorous “Lock her up!” chant.

Trump lashed out at a number of Democrats during the rally, including Feinstein’s colleagues on the Judiciary Committee – Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) – and a number of Democratic women. He ripped into Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) for not supporting his border wall.

He renewed one of his favorite nicknames, calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) “Pocahontas.”

“They’ve gone so far left that they consider Pocahontas to be a rational person,” Trump said, referencing “the Dems.” “It’s crazy.”

The president said he hoped Warren ran against him in 2020.

“The we can finally get down to the fact as to whether or not she has Indian blood,” the president said.

Hillary Clinton also got a “Lock her up!” chant, when Trump brought up how the US’s previous trade deal with South Korea “was a Hillary Clinton deal” while she was secretary of state.

“She made a statement today,” Trump continued. “They’re doing a tour, her and her husband or something and she made a statement, some ridiculous … that’s why she lost the election,” he continued through audience boos. “She’s never gotten it, but she never got it on trade.”

Clinton wrote a new afterword for the paperback version of her book “What Happened,” which said, “Trump and his cronies do so many despicable things that it can be hard to keep track.” She argued America’s democracy was in crisis, slamming her 2016 opponent for his administration’s “breathtaking corruption.”
