Voters headed to the polls on Tuesday to choose between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump for America’s next president after a bitter, contentious race for the White House.
During the last few weeks, many have expressed anxiety over possible voter fraud or intimidation at polling stations around the country. But most places remained relatively quiet throughout the day, despite hours-long waits for many voters.
Many polls have suggested a virtual tie between the two candidates, meaning key wins in battleground states are needed for either to get the 270 Electoral College votes needed for victory.
