The wife of the nation’s top military officer, Gen. Mark Milley, helped save the life of a bystander who collapsed at the Veterans Day ceremony this week at Arlington National Cemetery, a report said.

Hollyanne Milley, a practicing nurse, told NBC News she heard a commotion just before President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and their spouses arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Wednesday.

Milley ran over and found the man — a veteran who asked to remain anonymous — unresponsive.

“When I first got there, he was breathing in a very erratic way that he wasn’t really taking air into his lungs as he should have been,” she said. “And then he stopped breathing.”

He had no pulse — so Milley directed someone to call 911, began chest compressions and performed about two CPR cycles, according to the report.

Finally, the vet “took a big, deep breath and kind of groaned a little bit and then started moving around,” Milley recalled.

His pulse returned, and Milley “put him in a side recovery position” before EMS arrived to take him to the hospital.

Milley told NBC she didn’t work alone — and that a VA physician along with the senior enlisted adviser to the chairman joined the team effort to revive the man.

“But I do think we were all in the right place at the right time,” she said.

She later spoke to the man, who has since been discharged from the hospital.

“He’s grateful that he will be here next year to again honor those who served,” Milley told the network. “And he said because of a bystander who knew CPR, that’s why he’ll be able to continue on honoring our veterans for hopefully many years to come.”

Her husband commended his wife’s heroic efforts.

“Hollyanne’s actions were representative of the hero medical professionals who are always there when we need them,” Gen. Milley said in a statement to NBC News. “She represents the strength and service of our military families.”
