George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser who pleaded guilty to lying to the feds and served 12 days in jail, says he’d like a pardon from the president — but doesn’t expect to get one.
“My lawyers are handling it. My lawyers have formally applied for a pardon,” Papadopoulos said in an interview.
“I don’t have expectations to be pardoned.”
Papadopoulos admitted lying to the FBI in October 2017 about his contacts with a British professor, Joseph Mifsud, who claimed to have dirt on Hillary Clinton.
