Dear R.H.: I like getting an e-mail from the nutty fringe every once in a while.

Let’s start with my ancestors.

They came from Italy and got into the US legally. Let me repeat the key word — legally.

Now let’s get to my opinion of Trump and his immigration policy.

I think Trump is absolutely correct in keeping people from entering this country illegally. Illegal immigration — to put it simply for a person like you — is illegal. And the laws should be obeyed.

But I’m very much in favor of legal immigration, as I’ve written many times before. Not only do I favor it, but I think that this country’s financial woes — Social Security, Medicare, budget deficits and debt — can’t be overcome unless we have a growing workforce that includes an influx of immigrants.

So why not grow up and stop the name-calling? You signed this “Rude Hombre,” but rudeness is the least of your failings.

And, by the way, I can be as rude as the next person when antagonized.
