Republican Sen. Steve Daines says he’s going to attend his daughter’s wedding back home in Montana on Saturday — regardless of a possible Senate vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Daines told the Associated Press on Thursday that he will be walking his daughter down the aisle, and will definitely not be in Washington.
“The senator has said there’s two things that will happen this weekend,” explained spokeswoman Katie Schoettler. “We are going to get a new Supreme Court justice and he’ll be walking his daughter the aisle.”
Schoettler said Daines, a known Kavanaugh supporter, has read the FBI report on the allegations against the nominee and doesn’t believe there’s any evidence to corroborate them.
