Punk veterans Green Day slammed president-elect Donald Trump on Sunday night, during their appearance at the 2016 American Music Awards.

While playing their recent single “Bang Bang,” the trio broke into a middle-section that featured lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong leading a chant of “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA.” The line was adapted from the song “Born to Die,” originally by Austin hardcore band MDC.

It’s not the first time Green Day have spoken so virulently about Trump. Last week, Armstrong told British station Radio X about his dismay that US voters had elected a “fascist.” Back in August, he even went as far as referring to Trump as the Republican candidate as “Hitler” in an interview with rock magazine Kerrang!

The Berkeley trio were the only musical act to make an overt statement against Trump during the entire three-hour ceremony.

The band released their 12th album “Revolution Radio” in October, and will hit the road in support of it next year.
