Donald Trump will stick to the core themes of his campaign in accepting the Republican nomination for president Thursday night, it was reported Thursday.
A leaked copy of the speech posted by Politico shows Trump hammering home the issues that have defined his campaign: law and order, tough immigration policies, and “putting America first.”
Democratic rival Hillary Clinton comes in for a pounding for issues ranging from the email scandal to her handling of foreign affairs as President Obama’s secretary of state.
“This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction and weakness,” Trump will say, according to the advance text.
“To all Americans tonight, in all our cities and towns, I make this promise: We Will Make America Strong Again,” Trump is expected to conclude. ” We Will Make America Proud Again. We Will Make America Safe Again. And We Will Make America Great Again.”
