The highest ranking US Marine said Tuesday night that there was “no place” for racism — just hours after President Trump refused to denounce neo-Nazis and the KKK.

“No place for racial hatred or extremism in [the US Marine Corp],” General Robert B. Neller, a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, wrote on Tuesday night.

“Our core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment frame the way Marines live and act.”

Early in the day, Trump blamed “both sides” for the unrest that led to a protester being killed by a white nationalist in Charlottesville.

The president singled out the “alt left” who said were “very violent” during the event.

General Neller did not specifically mention Trump in his statement.
