Hillary Clinton got caught on a hot microphone Monday calling Donald Trump “dangerous” and complaining that the media can’t stop talking about him because he’s like “candy by the bushel” to the press.

Her words were caught while talking at a Democratic town hall with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews.

“Man, you guys cannot stop talking about him,” Clinton told Matthews in an exchange, which was not broadcast but could be heard at the venue during a break in the televised event.

“He is a dangerous presence.”

She said of Trump stories, “It’s just like candy by the bushel.”

Clinton also quizzed Matthews on why New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie — who campaigned with Trump on Monday in Florida — would want to endorse the GOP front-runner.

Matthews, the longtime “Hardball” host, said Christie wants “a future.” Clinton expressed doubt the governor could succeed in a New Jersey Senate run.

“I don’t think he could win right now,” Clinton said.

Matthews mused that Ben Carson’s voice reminds him of Tommy Smothers, half of the Smothers Brothers comedy duo.

“It’s so funny. When I talk about things like that with my staff that are so young,” Clinton responded.

“Try Sid Caesar,” Matthews said.

“Ed Sullivan!” Clinton retorted.
