Mentions of Donald Trump were largely absent from last Sunday’s Academy Awards telecast, to the surprise of many viewers. But now, the truce is over.

The Hollywood Trump hate has begun.

In Sacha Baron Cohen’s new comedy “The Brothers Grimsby,” out March 11, a fictionalized Donald Trump is reportedly infected with HIV.

Not exactly “Dr. Strangelove”-level satire — but in line with Baron Cohen’s usual shtick.

According to early reports, a scene in the “Borat” actor’s movie depicts a Daniel Radcliffe look-alike getting shot. Then some of his HIV-positive blood (he was infected earlier in the film) flies into the mouth of a nearby Trump, played by an actor.

The scene elicited “loud cheering” at the movie’s premiere in London, the Telegraph said.

In an earlier version of the scene, Queen Elizabeth reportedly passed HIV to the Pope. So it would seem that in shifting focus to Trump, Baron Cohen is directly responding to the state of American politics.

There has been some speculation that the film’s studio, Sony, attempted to cut the scene from the film — and when that effort failed, Sony tried to keep “Grimsby” low-profile to avoid Trump’s untethered wrath.

A spokesman for the studio told the Hollywood Reporter that those claims are “absolutely ridiculous.”

Baron Cohen has previously been on the record as a Trump detractor.

On Thursday night at the film’s US premiere in Burbank, Calif., Baron Cohen called Trump a “loud, ranting bloke” and suggested he pick Bill Cosby as his running mate, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The GOP front-runner has not yet responded to Baron Cohen in speeches or on Twitter — but it’s a yuuuge possibility that he will.
