Critics of President Trump fell for a joke that he spends 17 hours a day watching the “Gorilla Channel.”

The account @PixelatedBoat tweeted out a satirical excerpt, claiming to be from Michael Wolff’s book of White House gossip and saying aides compiled videos of gorilla fights for Trump.

Many popular users — including MSNBC’s Scott Dworkin, author Toure, and intelligence expert Eric Garland — shared the tale before realizing it was a joke.

“Dammit guys, I got totally punked on the Gorilla Channel thing,” Garland posted.
