Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich has changed his stance on impeachment — saying Friday that he now backs the inquiry into President Trump.

Kasich made the statement in a CNN interview Friday, telling Ana Cabrera that the “final straw” for him was Mick Mulvaney admitting the White House withheld military aid to Ukraine to pressure the country to investigate Joe Biden.

“Do I think impeachment should move forward and should go for a full examination and a trial in the United States Senate? My vote would be yes,” Kasich said.

The former governor who ran for against Trump in the 2016 GOP presidential primary, had previously not backed the inquiry because he did not see a clear quid pro quo.

“The last 24 hours have really forced me to review this,” he added in Friday’s interview.
