The “Trump” rocket fell short.

The model missile, competing in Saturday’s Team America Rocketry Challenge in Plains, Va., failed to launch itself into the top-24 finalist category in the field of 100 competitors.

Student rocketeers from the Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte, NC, snagged an Oval Office visit Friday to show off their sleek black projectile — crowned with a gold “Trump” label — to the delighted president. “How did you come up with the name Trump?” he asked.

“Simply because it conquers all,” one student answered.

“They’re never going to put that on television,” a grinning Trump said. The contest is the nation’s top student-rocketry meet, drawing teams of teens from 28 states.
