A man yelled a pro-Nazi and pro-Trump salute during a performance of “Fiddler on the Roof” in Baltimore — leading some people to fear a shooting was about to erupt, according to a report.

Seated in the balcony at the Hippodrome Theatre on Wednesday night, the man began shouting during the intermission, audience member Rich Scherr told The Baltimore Sun.

“Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!” he yelled, according to Scherr, 49.

Immediately after that, “people started running,” he said, adding: “I’ll be honest, I was waiting to hear a gunshot. I thought, ‘Here we go!’ ”

The unidentified loon was escorted out a few minutes later and the show continued, but Scherr said it was hard to focus on the play after the outburst.

“My heart was just racing. I didn’t even really pay attention to the second act,” he said.

Scherr, a contributing sportswriter for the paper, posted a video on Facebook after the incident.

“Sick, sick, world,” he wrote in the caption.

The Baltimore Sun couldn’t reach a spokesman for the Hippodrome.

The play, which tells the story of a Jewish family facing persecution in tsarist Russia, is based on “Tevye the Dairyman,” a fictional story originally written in Yiddish.

The US has experienced a recent surge in anti-Jewish incidents, including a shooting last month at a Pittsburgh synagogue that left 11 people dead.
