A New Jersey man with “disdain” for President Trump was arrested for repeatedly dumping his garbage on the lawn of a homeowner who displayed a Trump flag, a report said.
Richard Keller, 58, of Franklin Borough, is accused of tossing his rubbish at a Sparta Township home on numerous occasions over the past four months, NJ.com reported, citing police.
When police asked Keller to give a reason for his alleged actions, he said, “I think you know why. Because of that flag,” the report said.
During the height of the coronavirus pandemic, police said Keller’s trash-dumping waned. But it reportedly picked back up in June.
A home surveillance system installed by the homeowner allegedly caught Keller in the act about 5 a.m. June 1.
Police said they also witnessed Keller in action.
“Mr. Keller had such disdain for President Trump that it enraged him that someone was displaying a Trump flag,” Sparta Lt. John Lamon said in a press release.
“He decided that he would keep throwing garbage on their driveway to cause them inconvenience.”
Keller is facing criminal mischief and harassment charges.
