Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly joined forces with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on the probe into Paul Manafort.

The investigative teams have been collaborating and discussing a potential case against Manafort, a former campaign manager for President Trump, according to Politico.

Manafort is accused of making shady financial transactions. The investigation is part of a sprawling probe into Trump’s presidential campaign and its possible links to Russia.

Trump, who pardoned Arizona’s controversial ex-Sheriff Joe Arpaio last week, does not have pardon power involving state crimes.
