The world might be free, but his song isn’t.

Canadian rocker Neil Young isn’t thrilled that one of his classics was used Tuesday to ring in Donald Trump’s presidential bid, Young’s team said.

Speakers blared “Rockin’ in the Free World” as the billionaire businessman descended an escalator at Trump Tower in New York to announce his candidacy.

Political commentators found the song choice surprising, and a clear attempt by Trump to boost his “man of the people” sensibility.

Young’s longtime manager, Elliot Roberts, said the musician is not in support of Trump.

“Donald Trump’s use of ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ was not authorized,” Roberts told Mother Jones. “Mr. Young is a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders.”

Trump’s staff said Tuesday night it had purchased the legal right to use the song at the campaign event.

“Nevertheless, we won’t be using it again — there are plenty of songs to choose from,” a campaign spokesperson told The Post. “Despite Neil’s differing political views, Mr. Trump likes Neil very much.”
